Starting on the 20th September 2008, the eyes of the sailing world will be looking at Dún Laoghaire.

With the help of Live Regatta, the organisers are putting on a show to place the inaugural Laser SB3 World Championship firmly on the map.

Live regatta is providing a multimedia and GPS tracking solution to promote the event Live via the internet.

Live Video and GPS broadcasting from four of the top boats will be available on both Thursday 25th September and Friday 26th September 2008. We are also tracking a further 16 boats with GPS only devices.

Technology

We use a mixture of high-tech mobile phone technology and stardard GPS tracking devices.

The mobile phones being used for this event are Windows Mobile® - HTC Touch Diamonds with internal GPS.
